The 2009 International Cold Climate Wine Competition recognized Seven Hawks Vineyards, awarding a total of six medals, including two gold medals, one for their Prairie Star 2008 wine, and one for their Smiling Moon 2008. Other wines winning medals include Hunters Blend 2008, Frontenac Reserve 2008, Frontier Red 2008, and Ridgetop Apple.

Seven Hawks Vineyards is located one mile north of Fountain City, Wisconsin, on steep bluff lands overlooking the Mississippi River Valley. Our vineyards include almost 18,000 northern hybrid grape vines and 500 plum and cherry trees, making us one of the largest vineyards in the upper Midwest.

Our tasting room and wine bar is located in Fountain City at 17 North Street (located just behind the Golden Frog), an 1870's renovated gem, one of many fine old buildings in historic Fountain City. We also arrange special events at our vineyard and tasting room, and vineyard tours.

All of our wines are made from 100% locally grown grapes and fruit. Please review our currently available wines. Samplings of any of these wines can be enjoyed at our Fountain City tasting room, or you can order these wines for shipping directly to you. For ordering information or any other information about Seven Hawks Vineyards, call 866-946-3741 or email wines@SevenHawksVineyards.com.

How would you like to become a member of our Seven Hawks Vineyards Case Club? As a member, you'll receive exclusive invitations to our tasting room receptions with food and entertainment. You'll also receive special monthly discounts. How do you join our Case Club? Simple! Just ask to register when you purchase any twelve bottles of our wines.

Our vineyard grape varieties include Frontenac, St. Croix, Prairie Star, Briana, La Crescent, Frontenac Gris and Marquette, all of which are results of cross breeding of European grape varieties with local wild grapes, to create cold-hardy vines which survive northern climates and produce unique, distinctive wines.

Fountain City is also the home of our Hawks View Cottages and Lodges. Five cottages look out onto the Mississippi River from a wooded bluff overlooking old Fountain City. Two larger lodges occupy a ridgetop and high bluffside overlooking our vineyards, and two suites are located in the upper levels of our tasting room in Fountain City. Open since 2000, these special lodgings make a great rest stop while traveling through the great River Valley. Of course, complimentary wine is included with any stay.
